This woody background has to go. Text is near impossible to read. Who added it and who can remove it?

I can check the translations too as i speak and write English,Dutch and German. Right now i'm editing the dutch part of this site and translating that… But i will have a look to see how much work it is.

Hi,

I'm Unholylove, real name Ilse and as most of you know, i am a Travians addict. In real life i assist my boyfriend in his company which comes in handy because i work at home. I am 22 years old and currently working on translating everything on this site into dutch.

I love that Robo had this idea and as i use the site so much, i wanted to contribute to it.

Big hugs from me

Re: Graphical Look by JosieCJosieC, 13 Jan 2009 22:10

achivements are all in place, and i am creating a 'note' template so that we can play around with the look of it on oone page and it cascadeds to all instances

Re: Achievments by RobowingRobowing, 13 Jan 2009 21:56

you wont believe, like how usefull that is goign to be for me with work! thanking you =D

Re: Graphical Look by RobowingRobowing, 13 Jan 2009 17:09

light on dark/dark on light is more a property of what you're viewing it on. On a powerpoint you want light text on a dark background. For reading on a screen or on paper it's the opposite.

Re: Graphical Look by JosieCJosieC, 13 Jan 2009 16:32

i got board, and started on the rest, i stoped casue i was board, but that was boring in itself

Re: Achievments by RobowingRobowing, 13 Jan 2009 16:09

i was allways told dark on white as another tip, i alllllways go for blue background white writting =D

Re: Graphical Look by RobowingRobowing, 13 Jan 2009 16:09

black on white is rough on the eyes anyway :) Usually you're supposed to choose a just barely offwhite or a dark grey. Next time you have to do a powerpoint remember that one ;) haha oh the nonsense they taught us in college

Re: Graphical Look by JosieCJosieC, 13 Jan 2009 16:06

Ive set up the last 3 achievments catagories, leaving these 3 left:

Go Fighting
The roof over your head
Collector's passion

if anyone wants to do these, please copy the code from the completed 3 sections and simply change the names and numbers,

for usability, its important to use the [[include ]] function and to make each page a proper child of its parent, like i have done in the last 3 sections, it just makes it a thousand times easier to see what is going on etc…

Achievments by RobowingRobowing, 13 Jan 2009 15:14

was thinking exactly the same, white is just to white

Re: Graphical Look by RobowingRobowing, 13 Jan 2009 10:43

maybe a beige or tan instead of white as the background color?

Re: Graphical Look by JosieCJosieC, 13 Jan 2009 00:32

try to grab them from the travians server, ive seen farewale has aload of them, in there ko mode, just remove the ko to see there normal version

Re: Suggestions by RobowingRobowing, 12 Jan 2009 18:28

also, the furniture:divinabasic divina collection has been started, which is rather larger, complex and blah! ive found a quick way of doing these things, which is to finish one version, i.e blue, or in this case, say ash-blue

then copy and paste the entire thing into, say word, then use its copy and replace key words, like oak ash and mahagony

and blue, yellow, dark, nature etc….. in a mater of mins, one colour colection can become 5! or even 10! or even who knows!

Re: Furniture by RobowingRobowing, 12 Jan 2009 18:27

Right right right!

think we have the basis for basic furntiure guide, and all my messing around was not needed, it doesnt even need captions! just images, the furniture:stonebasic and furniture:principisbasic pages are done! and dont look to bad, in fact, with the new graphical layout, looks quite good indeed!

so if everyone uses these as templates, its really easy now to get the furniture guide done! im going to fill in some more later, if you look at the mulit coloured one, ive split it a bit more, and each indidvidual colour has its own page that is then 'included'
